We recently upgraded our kitchen with units from DIY Kitchens. The company gave us fantastic service, answering all my questions, accurate delivery information and superb after sales service. These are views of the Kitchen and below are views of our old kitchen which served us well for over 30 years. The new units are of a very high quality and the best part is they come ready assembled, so even if you get tradesmen in, the time they have to spend on the job is greatly reduced saving money. The drawers and doors are soft close. They cost a bit extra but they are wonderful. We chose doors without handles as they are easier to clean.
This is the wall with the Oven and Gas Hob.
The pan drawers, previously there was only drawer and it was a jumble.
This is our breakfast room but we never used it as such, so it gives us much needed extra storage space. The tall cupboard on the right of the clock is really useful. It is just wide enough to take two wine boxes on each shelf which act as a staging post for cardboard, plastic and bottles before going to the outside bins.
We had two end panels left over so we decided to add them to the wall. The room was just less than 2.4 metres long so I couldn’t fit 4 x 600mm units. This arrangement leaves a small gap at the end where I used a cut down door which houses the kitchen steps.
The larder unit with the slide out shelves making access really easy.
This is the corner unit, we choose one that revolves with easy access.
Here you can see the door partially open.
This shows the easy access to the shelves
Our old pan hanger was the original that came with the Le Creuset set in a light wood colour, I made this from various off cuts.
The kitchen roll holder, again from off cuts.
Our recycling drawer.
These units are next to our boiler.
These pull out shelves make access to the dishes really easy.
I made this drop down table from an end panel and some off cuts because we decided the finish on the unit sides was so good we didn’t need the end panel. It is very heavy because of the quality of the panel. This is yet to be finished.
